Art and Artificial Life International Awards
VIDA, the International Art and Artificial Life Awards, launched in 1999 by Fundación Telefónica, was founded to promote creation in this unique field through a recognition of the pioneering work of the artists. Over these fourteen years, VIDA has become one of the most prestigious awards in the art world, and the only one in the world dedicated to the study of life. With each new event, the awards have seen great progress made in the work to promote and stimulate an environment in which art, science and technology converge.

July 22 memorial sites
In commemoration of the terror attacks of July 22, 2011, the Norwegian Government has decided to establish national memorial sites in Hole and in Oslo.
Public Art Norway (KORO) is responsible for the projects' artistic direction and now inviting artists to submit proposals to an international open call.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA) is seeking film and video submissions for the 2013 edition of Optic Nerve, the museum's popular film and video showcase for emerging artists. MOCA is broadening the scope of this annual festival, now in its 14th iteration, by accepting entries from artists worldwide. This wider application pool allows MOCA to create new connections and contexts for the participating artists.

From 10 October to 24 November 2013 Galerie Sturm is offering a solo show in the exhibition hall for six weeks, as well as an accompanying booklet.
Galerie Sturm was founded in Nuremberg, Germany in 2009.
Its focus is on the representation and the promotion of new young academic artists.
The exhibition hall is in the centre of Nuremberg.
It is a former factory workshop, of a type typical of the city, with roof lights. It is 60 m² in size, with a room height of up to 4,5 m.

89plus
89plus is a long-term, international, multi-platform research project co-founded by Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist. It is conceived as a mapping of the generation born in or after 1989. Without forecasting artistic trends or predicting future creation, 89plus manifests itself through panels, books, periodicals and exhibitions, bringing together individuals from a generation whose voices are only starting to be heard, yet which makes up almost half of the world's population.

Applications are invited from individual artists or groups in any medium and can be for the presentation of existing works or production of new projects. Storey Productions is now accepting submissions for its "Voices of America" Solo Show Festival at The Little Theater in Los Angeles this September/October. The six-week festival festival will consist of six solo shows representing different facets of the "American" experience, with each show receiving three performances on one weekend.
