The 7th edition of BERLINER LISTE will take place from October 7 to 10, 2010. Over 60 international galleries and artists will show their most innovative and sophisticated works.

The repertoire ranges from painting, drawings, sculpture, photography, installation to performance and video art. 12.000 collectors, curators and art lovers from all over the world will visiting the BERLINER LISTE. More than 450 journalists correspond in international newspapers, magazins, radio and TV.

Application Deadline: Friday, February 19, 2010 by 5:00pm

REDCAT is accepting proposals for original performance works
for the 2010 New Original Works Festival. The Festival is designed to support
the development and presentation of contemporary performance in Los Angeles
through a three-week interdisciplinary program of dance, theater, music and
multi-disciplinary works. Entering its seventh year, the Festival features a
flexible schedule to accommodate a variety of short works and some longer
projects in Los Angeles premieres, and provides development support through
technical assistance, access to the theater and its sound and lighting
inventory and an honorarium.

The Festival takes place in late July and early August at REDCAT´s

The City of Buena Park's Cultural/Fine Arts Division is looking for art facilitators to hold workshops at our Children Arts Festival on Friday, April 23rd, 2010. Celebrating 40 years of Earth Day, all art facilitors are required to provide a craft using recycled materials.

Volunteers are also needed to mann arts & craft tables, assist instructors, and help with the setup of the event. Great opportunity for high school and college students who need community service credit!

Free Concerts Program Applications now Available

With funding support from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Arts Commission administers the sponsorship of free concerts at community venues throughout Los Angeles County to provide access to quality music programming representing the diversity of County residents. The program provides funding to cover the payment of musicians at community concerts offered free to the public. Applications for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission's 2010 Free Concerts in Public Sites Program are now available on www.lacountyarts.org/free.html. Applications are due on Wednesday, March 10.

The purpose of the 2nd Call for Applications of 'Les Ateliers de Rennes' is to select a new artistic project and a team for the 2012 and 2014 editions of Les Ateliers de Rennes - Contemporary Art Biennial.

Call to Artists: ReVisions '10 to Premiere on EARTH DAY

As some of you may know, the nonprofit Eco-LogicalART Gallery has fostered the creation of huge new artworks, painted on recycled vinyl billboards, which are then installed back up on billboards. To date our "drive-by" exhibits have been on display across Los Angeles and San Francisco and been seen over 40 million times.

Planning is now under way to create several more pieces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Eco-LA is looking for artists who would like to participate. Generally on the 14 x 48 foot "canvases" we do triptychs—each image being 10 x 13 feet. Though I like the art to stand on its own—and not necessarily be directly "Earth Day" themed, image that could be construed as "green" are also desirable.
