OPEN CALL FOR LECTURE-PERFORMANCES AT JUST MADRID ART FAIR 2010

Open call for four lecture-performances for the project On the Table, organized by the Lisbon-based curatorial team Filipa Oliveira + Miguel Amado for the section Curators Desk at Just Madrid Art Fair 2010. Lecture-performance refers to the bringing together of performative and educational traditions within a pedagogical context. Artists can present their work or a specific project through an informal discussion with the audience, devising a discursive platform within the context of an art fair.

The Annex LA seeks 2D artists for this month's Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk on Thursday, February 11th. This month's 1-day event is from 4pm-10pm. With upward of 6000 people in attendance each month, this event offers an enormous amount of exposure. This is a great opportunity to make contacts, meet artists in the area, and gain access to a young, hip, and involved audience.

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR THEATRE COMPANIES TO STAGE NEW PLAYS AT [INSIDE] THE FORD DURING 2010-11 SEASON

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission/Ford Theatres is now accepting
applications for the [Inside] the Ford Winter Partnership Program in
2010-11, a program which provides support to Los Angeles County-based
theatre companies. The [Inside] the Ford New Play Series, now in its
second season has enjoyed explosive success. L.A. Weekly's Steven
Leigh Morris in his Best of the Decade roundup declared "A big plus for
the decade came from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, whose
funding of various companies at [Inside] the Ford, including Circle X

Imagine East Hollywood:autobiography of a neighborhood

Seeking actors of all ages & experience for an interactive happening as part
of the Barnsdall Art Gallery exhibit: Actions, Conversations & Intersections

Especially seeking people who can converse in one of the many languages
inhabiting East Hollywood (English, Spanish, Armenian, Thai, Tagalog, ASL,
Braille, Ukrainian, etc.)

Time commitment: 1-2 days/week beginning in February and 2-3 performances in
late March/early April

2010-11 WINTER PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION

On November 7, 2008, the Arts Commission launched the [Inside] the Ford
Winter Partnership Program. Recognizing that many Los Angeles
County-based theatre companies do not have permanent performance homes
and that the cost of producing theatrical works has become prohibitively
expensive in the area, the Arts Commission provides an opportunity for
theatre companies without a permanent performance venue to produce in

The Altadena Library District is seeking artists of all mediums to
display their work in our Community Room. All experience levels,
individual artists, and collaborative teams are welcome.

Art Displays will be held monthly in 2010 (check for available months)

OPEN AUDITION for CIRCUS AMOK

NYC's renowned outdoor political spectacular theatrical company is seeking
Acrobats, Jugglers, Physical Comedians, Stilt Dancers, Rope Walkers and
other Extraordinary Performers for our September 2010 tour of New York City
parks.

Circus Amok is a one ring, no animal NON-PROFIT circus/theater company
dedicated to social change and fabulous spectacle.

Auditions will be held at our Brooklyn Rehearsal Space:
Saturday, January 23 - 3:00pm-5:30pm

Rehearsals run May through August with approximately 15-20 paid performances
in September.

We are especially seeking queer artists and artists of color
