Winner of the 2011 Lester Horton Award for Outstanding Production of a
Festival!
Lineage Dance invites you to participate in the week-long festival to take
place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and the Lineage Performing Arts
Center. This year¹s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever!
Lineage Dance is dedicated to making the festival accessible to all. We
welcome new dance companies and new teachers to participate and bring their
passion to Pasadena. Special performances will be presented for student
groups, rising professional choreographers and established dance companies.
Classes and workshops in all styles. Please join us!
Special Editions Residency Program
The Lower East Side Printshop invites emerging artists of all disciplines to apply for the 2012 Special Editions Residency, a competitive residency program that allows emerging artists to create new work through exploration of printmaking. The Printshop offers an opportunity for artists to complete an important new body of work in collaboration with our experienced master printers, fully sponsored by the Printshop.
Residencies will take place for a period of three to six months, including production time, scheduled between February 2012 and February 2013. Projects must be well under way and ready for production by October 1, 2012.
Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a Juried Art Competition for the month of November with the theme “Countryside”. A Group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Art Gallery for the month of December 2011. The theme is the Countryside and the gallery wants all 2D artists to send us your best interpretation of the theme “Countryside" by depicting rural living, the outdoors and pastoral scenes.

Individuals, groups or companies can enter a digital media competition that is part of the upcoming International Entertainment Education Conference in India.
The 5th International Entertainment Education Conference (EE5) is sponsoring the competition. Entrants from any country can submit a digital production - three minutes maximum - on a topic motivating behavior change around any health topic.
The EE5 Facebook page will display the top ten entries for public viewing October 15, 2011. There are four categories of awards.
Winners will be announced during the EE5 conference being held November 17 to 20, 2011 in New Delhi. The conference will focus on health and social development, specifically for women and children.

The Project Rise Facebook Contest, sponsored by the Global Fund for Children, seeks photos and videos representing the biggest issues adolescent girls face in a community. The contest is open to aspiring filmmakers and filmmakers between 16 and 24 years old.
Participants can submit one photo on this theme and/or a one-minute video. Judges will evaluate all entries and the top entries will be posted on Facebook. The photos and videos that receive the most "likes" will win US$100.
