Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a Juried Art Competition for the month of October with the theme “The Elements”. A Group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Art Gallery for the month of November 2011. The theme is the Elements, send us your best interpretation of the theme “The Elements” now!
Awards will be for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places, honorable mentions and special recognitions. All winners will be selected, announced and featured on the Light Space & Time website on November 1, 2011 for a month. Thereafter, the artworks will remain online in the Light Space & Time Archives with links to the artist’s websites. Extensive worldwide publicity for the winners.

Theme & Eligibility: This is an open call to professional artists -
male and female - who live in the State of California. The theme is to
convey in art the glory of the winter season.
Selection Process:
The Curator of Exhibitions for The Women's City Club of Pasadena,
Margaret Danielak, owner of DanielakArt, and one member of the Board of
Directors of The Women's City Club of Pasadena, will select the
artwork. Professional artists may submit up to 10 works of art for
EAST HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (Sept. 9, 2011) -- Organizers of the third annual East Hollywood ArtCycle are calling out to artists to compete in a juried art contest at the event. ArtCycle happens on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2 to 10 p.m., at Santa Monica Blvd. and Vermont Ave.
The first East Hollywood Outdoor Painting Award competition asks artists to create a work of art with the neighborhood of East Hollywood as their inspiration. Entries will be judged by a panel experts from the Los Angeles arts scene.
"This will be the first juried art contest to be held at the ArtCycle," said event co-producer Jennifer Moran. "The contest is our way of elevating artists in our community and bringing attention to their work."

GLAAD's Artist Outreach Committee and Curator for OUTAuction are looking for artists to submit art works to be auctioned at our signature art event – OUTAuction.
This year's OUTAuction marks a major milestone – ten years of celebrating established and emerging artist, while recognizing GLAAD's Top 100 Artists.
All selected artists will receive two tickets to attend OUTAuction on November 20, 2011!
Submissions are due by October 21st. OUTAuction represents artists of all sexual orientations (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, straight). All are encouraged to apply!

Boston Court Performing Arts Center is seeking submissions from artists
for its 4thAnnual Art Exhibition to be held October 6-9, 2011. An
award-winning theatre and performing space in Pasadena, for the last
three years Boston Court has hosted an art exhibition, bringing local
and regional artists to a wider public. This year Boston Court will
continue to bring contemporary art to its audience, but will also be
trying something new. We are seeking works of art that explore some of
the same subjects and themes as the play The Dinosaur Within by John
Walch, which will have its opening night at The Theatre @ Boston Court
the same weekend.
