e-MobiLArt: European Mobile Lab for Interactive Artists

Call for artists and scientists

European Mobile Lab for Interactive Media Artists (e-MobiLArt) is a project tailored around the process of creating collaborative interactive installation artworks. Such interactive mediated environments may involve the use of multimodal interfaces, ubiquitous computing and mobile or locative media technologies.

The e-MobiLArt project aims to provide selected participants with an ideal context, that will allow them to travel, collaborate and exhibit their work.

During this project, artists and scientists who are active in creating interactive media art or pursuing innovative interdisciplinary research will have the opportunity to:

The Thing is a free artist showcase, performance showcase, and open-ended event that will be held on April 12, 2008, at a theater in Hollywood. We're seeking artists, performers, and viewers/participants for the evening. There is no charge for any element of the event! unitednationsplaza Mexico DF is an exhibition in the form of a temporary school. For this project, artist Anton Vidokle is organizing a month long program of seminars and workshops that use the Casa Refugio as a site to shape a critically engaged public through art discourse. unitednationsplaza is presented by PAC (Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo A.C.) as part of its new curatorial residency program, and will run from March 1st through March 31, 2008. In 1996 Ndere Troupe organized the formation of Uganda Development Theatre Association (UDTA), which has today become the Cobweb linking the different efforts in the field of development through theatre in Uganda. The Association’s 2084 member groups, under the organization of Ndere Troupe, have since held seven bi-annual festivals in Kampala. The major purpose of the festival is to bring the groups together and provide a forum to compare notes in the fields of cultural performances and entertainment education.

Stone Town, Zanzibar during February 7-10, 2008. The festival is
