www.YourPR.org has posted a new item: 'VanessaPR' :::

Hello, you gorgeous YOURPR.ORG people!

He said. She said. Dems said. Repubs said. The Presidential Election has been going on a LONG time, and I wanted to see what people thought about the process and what they were (or weren’t) getting out of it.

I have always been fascinated by “man on the street” interviews. So, I tried to conduct this segment like that. Granted, these are people I know, but I tried to keep it casual. Thanks to all of the folks who shared their opinions!

THE NEW MILLENNIUM PAPER AIRPLANE BOOK
Coming Spring 2009

Call for entries: Pre-register online now at http://www.publicartfund.org

THE NEW MILLENNIUM PAPER AIRPLANE CONTEST by Klara Hobza is a multifaceted artwork inspired by a historic paper airplane contest that took place in 1967 at the Great Hall in what is now the New York Hall of Science. Built by Wallace K. Harrison to display rockets in the 1964 World's Fair, the Great Hall is a secular cathedral of concrete and colored glass, and for Hobza's one-day event, this unique location will harbor aircraft of a different scale.

Want to be a Minotaur for an hour? Email Rob...

Rob Andrews, Franklin Furnace Alumn, seeks performers for November 1 project

Hi All,

I'm looking for upwards of 80 performers for a large scale project on
November 1st, as part of a city-wide series called 40*Phi: Live Art in the
Parks. I've been given Tompkins Square Park on November 1st for the entire
day.

The plan is, on November 1st, Tompkins Square will be overrun by minotaurs
performing tasks. I'm recruiting YOU to be a minotaur for an hour. This
would involve wearing a mask, and following some basic rules. I have a
number of actions/tasks that I would like minotaurs to complete - but am
absolutely open to your ideas. In fact if you have a great idea (i.e. I
would like to sit down by a tree and meticulously debone a fish) even
better.
