Invitation for Proposals: Women of Juarez Exhibit (Chicago / deadline March 17)

The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago is searching for Women Artists
of Mexican Descent to participate in the Women of Juaréz / Mujeres de Juárez
Exhibition planned for September 2009 - March 2010.

Proposals must arrive to the museum by March 17, 2009. Proposals will be
reviews and art work will be selected the last week of March.

The Arts Council for Long Beach and the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency
announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select artists for temporary
public artwork for vacant storefronts in redevelopment areas within the City
of Long Beach.

Historical / Cultural Background
The City of Long Beach is one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse
cities in the nation. As the fifth largest city in California, Long Beach
plays an important role in shaping the identity of the state. Long Beach is
an attractive and accessible coastal gateway that serves as an important
tourist attraction and is home to the Queen Mary, Boeing Aerospace, the Long
Beach Aquarium, an expansive beach front and one of the largest ports in the
world.

ATTIC THEATRE SEEKING CO-PRODUCTIONS FOR OUR THEATER (LA area)

ATTIC THEATRE SEEKING CO-PRODUCTIONS FOR OUR THEATER

The ATTIC Theatre & Film Center is accepting proposals for co-productions at their Culver City theater. There is no up front rental fee, however certain theatre running costs will be deducted from box office revenue. After those fees are paid at box office will be split 50/50. The ATTIC will provide box office and house management at each performance. All other staffing will be provided by the producing company. Productions will be able to run from 2 weeks to 6 weeks depending on the project.

**** All types of Productions are encouraged to apply. *****

Theater Specs:
-- 49 seats
-- Stage dimensions are 25' wide x 19' deep x 10' tall
-- Raise stage - wood floor
-- We have 30 dimmers and about 35 to 40 lighting instruments.

Metal Singers of any sub-genre are invited to sing, unaccompanied - no
bands no backing tracks - original music or covers from the Metal
Repertoire at Sound IN Space on Feb. 6th. Each singer will be given
3-7 minutes, a microphone and a load of amplification.

Free beer for participants.

There will be prizes.
