Women of God is a new art retreat fostering the creativity and spirituality of women artists. Located in Northeast Alabama (US) it sits amidst state parks, national preserves and an art community.
Artist-Owner Ann Hamilton opened the retreat in her 1890's Victorian home in January, 2009. It is in the historic district of Fort Payne, Al.
"I have long wanted to share this lovely old place with other women artists, and I finally figured out how to do that," Hamilton said.

Son of Semele Ensemble is looking for companies and artists interested in
performing at their venue on either Wed/Thurs nights or on Sundays through
the month of May.
*There is no rental fee, however all box office revenue will be split 50/50.
* Productions/Performances that emphasize departures from conventional
form, content and/or style will be given priority. The performances will be
done on the existing lighting plot and set for Son of Semele's next
production, "THE DESIGNATED MOURNER" by Wallace Shawn. This is an
excellent opportunity for someone to put up a production in partnership with
Son of Semele.

-- Stage dimensions are 18' wide x 22' deep x 14' tall

Lineage Dance is seeking established or emerging artists to bring a creative
vision to our next dance project.
THEME: The Brain in Motion
Sneak Previews: May 29,30 and June 5,6.
Full Performances with Art Work: Oct-Nov. 2009
Lineage Dance seeks proposals from artists who can bring the dynamics and
shape of the dance into visual form through paintings or drawings that evoke
different images of brain activity. These art pieces will be photographed
and projected onto the backdrop during the performances in the Fall of 2009
creating a landscape/ environment for the dance.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the preview shows with
dates listed above to shape their vision. (MAY 29,30 OR JUNE 5,6)
