In 2011 there is a special collaboration between Schmiede, Hallein (Austria) (www.schmiede.ca) and the Dakar Arts Festival, Dakar (Senegal). All interested people are specially invited to participate in the first
International Dakar Arts Festival.
At Schmiede11 (September 15-25th 2011) you will have the possibility to get more information about this
collaborative project. Due to special collaboration with other festivals the High Ministry of Culture in Senegal is supporting exhibiting artists that participate in the Dakar Arts Festival with a 50% travel grant.

We are pleased to announce that the application period is now open for ARCOmadrid 2012 to be held from 15th to 19th February 2012. Following the positive response to the changes introduced in 2011—reduction in the size of the fair, a greater emphasis on quality of exhibiting galleries and works on display and a firm commitment with collecting—quality continues to be the top priority for the upcoming edition. For the future selection of galleries, the booths at the last edition of the fair will be carefully analysed, together with the gallery's programme and the project for ARCOmadrid 2012.
Shelly Mars and her co-host Kirby the Bulldog are looking for interesting
acts for June 18th. Bulldyke Chronicles. this performance series takes

Seeking chalk artists to participate in Chalk Art for Charity, a fundraiser for FOOD Share to be held during Arts in the Park, Aug. 27th and 28th in Ventura, CA. Artists needed to create 4x6 sidewalk squares on Saturday, Aug. 27th. No charge to artists. We will provide a chalk and a light lunch and will include your name in the event program. Artists not required to be present on Sunday.

The Wassaic Project Summer Festival is an annual music and arts festival
that seeks to bring together artists of all disciplines, musicians in
varying genres, and the public to celebrate music and art in our historic
location.
The Summer Festival is a celebration of our annual programming. Artists in
Residents from the past year all participate in the festival, creating a
unique showcase of site specific and site sensitive work. Other artists in
the Summer Festival are curated from an open call by The Wassaic Project
staff and invited jurors, and invited Guest Curators.
