Filmmakers wanted to join us on a Road Trip!

girltank is going on a road trip across the US, and we're inviting girltankers (female social entrepreneurs) to meet up with us at girltank events geared to raise money for projects on our crowdfunding platform, and we need filmmakers to join us in these select cities to document our spreading the girltank message far and wide!

We're looking for filmmakers in each city to help us film short clips at these events to put together into a larger video that we hope will go viral and get people excited about girltank, and, especially, want to support projects that girltankers want to get off the ground.

Calling all artists, arts organizations, and venues... Let's throw a citywide art party!

This fall, the media, city officials, metro, and pretty much everyone else in Los Angeles will all be talking about one thing: Carmageddon II, coming to a freeway near you September 29 & 30, 2012.

So how about we invite Los Angeles to stay off the freeways, and walk, bike or Metro to art in their own neighborhoods?

ARTmageddon can be our response to Carmageddon II. With everyone avoiding their cars, it is the perfect time for you to extend an invitation to your neighbors to visit your venue; a perfect chance for us to piggyback on all the surrounding media hype; and a perfect opportunity for Los Angeles residents to experience local art.

The award-winning Actors Co-op Theater Company in Hollywood is accepting
submissions for company membership. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August
19th & Sunday, August 26th from 2-5:30 PM.

Actors Co-op 2012/2013 season includes:

WERE NONE by Agatha Christie; TO BE YOUNG, GIFTED, AND BLACK by Lorraine

An Unusual Suspects Theatre Company Mentor is the following:
• A physically active performing arts workshop participant who plays theatre games and exercises led by US teaching artist, designed to strengthen youth's listening, critical thinking, cooperative learning and social skills.
• A good behavior and positive attitude model who brings awareness to youth's own behavior, and attitudes.
• A supporter that expresses belief in youth's small and large accomplishments and conveys warmth and care for their ideas and concerns to help build their self-esteem.

I am seeking proposals for live performances - sound, video etc) as well as performance documentation (dvd's slides, videos, photos, notes, diagrams) of performers & perforamnces from the 70's to now.

INSTALL: WeHo is an interactive exhibition, to be held September 16, 2012, showcasing the curated work of LGBTQ-minded artists in the Greater Los Angeles Community. With the support of the City of West Hollywood, ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, this pop-up installation will serve as a forum to bring both established and emerging LGBTQ artists and contributors together. INSTALL: WeHo is an opportunity to share the story, struggles and spirits of the LGBTQ community through a diverse array of mediums and forms.
