After closing out a record-breaking eighth edition of PULSE Miami 2012 with increased attendance and sold-out booths, PULSE Contemporary Art Fairs is now accepting applications for PULSE New York 2013.

The eighth edition of PULSE New York will take place May 9–12, 2013. For the third year in a row, the fair will be located at the Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street, in Chelsea, with convenient shuttles running to and from the Frieze ferry, and the West Chelsea gallery district.

CALL FOR FOLK MUSICIANS

Muck Roots All-Stars

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center Foundation, otherwise known as "The Muck," will be auditioning musicians and singer/songwriters for an all-star folk music group in 2013. The selected band members will be guided by the Muckenthaler with paid gigs, promotions, YouTube videos, band management and recordings.

Auditions will be held at 8 AM, Saturday, February 2nd, 2013.

To be eligible to audition you must:

· Be over 18 years of age (or be over 13 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian)

· Be on time

· Be able to work in a group

· Have a great work ethic

· Have a passion to be a professional music artist

· Be able to sing harmony

· Be free for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings and gigs on weekends

The Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, seeks 8-10 puppetry performances for a one-day Family Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 7, 2013. The Festival will feature a wide range of puppetry, from small to large scale, utilizing diverse media, and drawing on a variety of cultural traditions.
