Art in Odd Places 2010: CHANCE
OPEN CALL FOR ARTIST SUBMISSIONS
Art in Odd Places (AIOP) invites artists working across disciplines to
propose projects for the festival's sixth installment (October 1 - 10,
2010). Taking place along 14th Street from Avenue C to the Hudson River in
New York City, we encourage proposals that explore this location's rich
history, configuration, and heterogeneous communities. The forthcoming
edition of AiOP is informed by various interpretations of the term CHANCE,
including proposition, luck, randomness, risk, and opportunity. Within this
context, artists are given the opportunity to apply their practice to an
unconventional structure-playing off the idiosyncrasies inherent to the
CORE 6: Defining Ourselves
Juried Art Exhibit & Performances by artists with disabilities
The 6th annual CORE exhibit is brought to you by Arts & Services for Disabled, Inc. and the National Arts and Disability Center of UCLA. In its 6th year, CORE continues to extend its reach to artists nationally and worldwide. The exhibit showcases artwork, literature, and performances by artists with disabilities with the purpose of providing a space for artists, community members, and arts and disability advocates to build common bonds and promote visibility through a diverse art forum.

Hello, Soundasart--
This is DaveX. I've been tapped to curate/produce the first broadcast in
a set of four World Listening Project-themed Framework: Afield episodes.
I'm going to assume you're familiar with the radio show-- moving on. The
agreed-upon thematic hook for this particular episode is "Sounds You
Might Have Heard," which is rather open-ended.
I'm seeking submissions for this broadcast, and things are moving a tad
slowly for my taste-- help me get things rolling more quickly by getting
in touch. Thanks!
