Join the São Paulo International Art Fair as it celebrates its ten-year anniversary edition! Galleries interested in participating can access the online application at www.sp-arte.com/application. The Fair will take place April 3–6, with a VIP/Professional preview being held on April 2, 2014.
In 2013, SP-Arte experienced a historic edition, establishing SP-Arte as one of the leading global art fairs in the world. 122 galleries participated in the Fair and over 22,000 collectors, curators, artists, and art professionals visited the Pavilion to experience vast Modern and Contemporary artwork available by both Brazilian and International artists.
Applicants can choose from one of the four multidisciplinary sections available at SP-Arte:
RELIEF PRINTMAKING

This course will introduce you to various methods of creating woodcut and linocut prints. This direct and versatile process is one of the oldest methods of printing. Learn how to prepare wood and linoleum blocks, carve images by hand, apply ink with rollers, and print by hand and on the press using oil based inks. Also covered will be methods for creating images with multiple blocks and colors, reduction printing, and alternative techniques.
INTRO TO PRINTMAKING

OPEN CALL, NY artist/writers: I am curating a second year of "Mind-Roaming
Journeys: Surreal Performances with Projection, Text and Voice" and I'm
inviting you to participate if you have a surreal piece.
Last year the event was at Tribes, with 5 artist-writers. This will be 5-10
artist-writers at Bowery Poetry Club (now called Bowery Art and Science), on
Monday evening, Sept 9, 7pm, each participant 5-10 mins.

and image like those in that program, which describes what you'd do (in in
exactly that description length and form, with jpg 72dpi, 600px on largest
side as a .jpg attachment in the FB message.)

You've probably heard of the Stages Musical Theatre Festival. This year's
17th annual festival is offering a slot to a few promising young writers (25

Project with the goal of helping young writers between the ages of 18-25
showcase their original work by participating in the 17th annual Stages New
Musical Theatre Festival held in Los Angeles between August 23-25, 2013.

In the Seventh year of the Inglewood Open Studios, a large number of Inglewood artists will open their studios to the public the weekend of November 9- 10th, 2013 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm both days.
