Operation PRD: All the Way South Research Fund
The Pearl River Delta (PRD) as a constructed geographical division originated from the hydrographic integration of the Pearl River and its distinctive regional tradition and indigenous culture. Over the past two decades, the geo-cultural root has been shifted by regional geo-political changes and global economic reform and decline, the circulation of objects, people, capital, images and ideas has profoundly modified the everyday life and cultural landscape of the PRD.

Dear Artists
"Mostly Plastic"
I am very disturbed by the proliferation of plastic in the oceans and all that is being destroyed by the islands of plastic in the oceans and waters of the earth. For years I have curated exhibitions of art from trash, but I feel that plastic is the most damaging refuse being discarded at this moment.
& so I am creating a proposal for an exhibition of detritus art made of primarily discarded plastic. I hope to present the proposal soon to various venues...
If you are interested in using your art to help save our environment, please send me jpgs of 3-4 of your detritus artworks of primarily discarded plastic... & a brief statement to: ncognita@earthfire.org with subject "Mostly Plastic"

Project Anywhere
Call for proposals: Project Anywhere
Submission deadline: September 1, 2017
Project Anywhere is a global blind peer reviewed exhibition program dedicated to promoting art and artistic research at the outermost limits of location-specificity. Since its inception in 2012, it has hosted between 4 and 8 projects annually. Although descriptions and images of hosted projects are featured on a dedicated website, Project Anywhere is not an online exhibition space. It is instead a vehicle for illuminating artistic projects located elsewhere in space and time. It is perhaps best imagined as an expanded exhibition space comprising the entire globe, and in which the role of curator is replaced with a blind peer evaluation model.
