Art Basel's 2016 show in Miami Beach: Applications now online for Galleries, Edition, Survey, Nova and Positions sectors

From December 1-4, 2016, Art Basel will stage the 15th edition of its show in Miami Beach, the premier art fair in the Americas. The show will feature more than 250 leading galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia, displaying works by more than 4,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The 6th edition of the International Art Fair of Rio de Janeiro will take place between September 29 and October 2 with a special opening for VIP guests on September 28 at Pier Mauá within Rio's port area, which has just been through an important urban revitalization, with the constructions of two new museums: Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) and Museu do Amanhã.

Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 2nd Annual International “ALL Women” Online Art Competition for the month of February 2016. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online during the month of March 2016. Awards will be given for the top 5 chosen winners. In addition to the winning images, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Honorable Recognition awards will also be presented. This competition closes February 29, 2016. Winners will be announced on March 14, 2016.

Each year from January to March, the City of West Hollywood presents a free-to-attend, indoor concert series of folk, jazz, and world music.
Concurrent with this year's concert series, the City is accepting applications from both new and established musicians in all styles of music – classical, contemporary, jazz, folk, traditional, world -- for the 2017 Free Winter Sounds Concert Series. Participants are invited to work with Mirland Terlonge, FF Alumn, on her latest performance project entitled “Incessant…” The performance requires the participants to bear the weight of the artist for a dance. More details will be discussed at the Rehearsal.

Participants will be given a modest honorarium of $50 for their participation in the final performance. Participants are expected to attend at least 2 rehearsals prior to Jan 30th. The final performance will be held January 30th at 2pm in Greenwood Cemetery.
