Inverse Performance Art Festival 2017
Inverse Performance Art Festival seeks to elevate the medium of performance art in now two communities - the Northwest Arkansas region and the Southern California region (specifically San Luis Obispo / Santa Barbara areas). Including artists recognized on local, national, and international platforms, the festival will host a variety of performances with diversity of content and duration. The work will be expansive, educational, and collaborative. We are accepting proposals for performances of 60 minutes or less with an attentive audience, proposals for performances of durational work lasting 3 hours or more, and proposals for live performance broadcasted from anywhere in the world.

VOLTA, Basel's art fair for new international positions, returns to Markthalle for its 13th edition in June. Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 1st Annual International “Open-No Theme” Online Art Competition for the month of November 2016. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online during the month of December 2016. Awards will be given for the top 5 chosen winners in the Paintings, Photography/Digital Art and Mixed Media/3D Categories. In addition to the winning images, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Honorable Recognition awards will also be presented. This competition closes November 30, 2016. Winners will be announced on December 19, 2016.

The Franchise Exhibition Program gives creative individuals from any location and experience level the opportunity to organize an exhibition to be presented anywhere in the world except New York City. apexart accepts 500-word text-only proposals for focused, idea-driven, original group exhibitions. Employing a unique merit-based approach, the proposals are reviewed by an international and diverse jury of more than 150 people. Four winners receive funding for their projects, and work closely with the apexart team to bring their winning ideas to a locale best suited to the exhibition's theme.
