Venice Arts seeks a full-time Director of Programs, who will be
responsible both for managing and developing existing programs, as well
as working on new initiatives. Working under the supervision of the
Executive Director, the Director of Programs primary responsibilities

experienced educator with a personal practice as a photographer,
filmmaker, or multi-media artist; a background in documentary work or

The Mixed Roots Festival is looking for stories that concern the Mixed
experience. Submit your film, writing (fiction, memoir, poetry), craft
workshops (writing, filmmaking, storytelling), or LIVE performance
piece. You may find your work featured at the 2011 Mixed Roots Film &
Literary Festival. We're looking for submissions in Film, Writing and
Performance that celebrate and nurture storytelling of the Mixed
experience: interracial/ cultural relationships, transracial/ cultural
adoptions and anyone who identifies with having Mixed, Hapa, Biracial
or Multiracial heritage.
THE LATE DEADLINE for submissions is March 20.
This years fest occurs on June 11-12, 2011 at the Japanese American
National Museum in Los Angeles.

The Downtown Art Center Gallery is seeking submissions for a group
exhibition in May 2011. All mediums are welcome; work should be made
within the past 3years.
Please submit 10-20 images maximum in JPG format on a CD and mail to:
DAC Gallery, 828 S. Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90014. If you would like
your submitted materials returned, please include a self-addressed and
stamped envelope. When submitting work, please include your name and
contact information as well as dimensions, medium, and titles (if
applicable).
There is a $40 non-refundable portfolio review fee per applicant.
Artists whose work is not selected for the May exhibition may be
considered for future shows.
