Hi again,
Time is passing quickly! It's hard to believe that we're in the third month of 2015 already. Brian Dillon, Stefano Graziani, Karen Irvine, and Jesús Vassallo were just here. We talked about photography and architecture with them and looked at some of the 66,357 photographic objects in our collection—the oldest one dates from 1839—but actually captions became a big part of our discussion.

“It's far too ugly for me to die here!,“
(-noted industrial designer Michael Graves when asked about hospitals)
The ugliness that prompted Graves’ outburst included the devices he came across because of his new disability. The Opulent Mobility exhibit is an opportunity to change that.
Wheelchairs, walkers, prosthetics, crutches and other assistive technology devices are part of our lives. But in the grand scheme of design innovations, they’ve been left in the dust. There are hundreds of thousands of designs for glasses, chairs, and tech of every other kind.
Now is your chance to help change the conversation about assistive technology of the future.
