From 14 April to 29 May 2011 the 13th edition of VIDEONALE takes place at Kunstmuseum Bonn/Germany. You can submit single or - this year for the first time - multi channel works created in the past two years for VIDEONALE 13. The entry deadline is 20 September (post mark).

LOS ANGELES ASIAN PACIFIC FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAM COMMITTEE: SHORT FILMS

Duration: September 2010 through May 2011

Description: The Program Committee of the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival is the component of the Festival charged with soliciting, reviewing, selecting and scheduling the screening programs of Film Festival. Selected candidates will work as part of an approximately twelve-member team to review and deliberate on upwards of 400-plus selections (feature-length and short subjects in all genres) submitted through an Open Call process as well as solicited and curated works.

Downtown Los Angeles theatre company seeking

ILLUSTRATORS/ARTISTS

to create near life-size two-dimensional
head & torso's of historic figures
for installation project at the historic
Los Angeles Theatre Center (the LATC).

Some historical figures significant in
Black Theatre/history
would be great.

Figures will complement theatrical production
previewing 09.22.10 and running through the end of October
and will need to be in place on or before September 20, 2010.

The California Council for the Humanities (CCH) invites applications for the next round of the California Story Fund (CSF). The purpose of this ongoing, competitive grant program is to capture and share compelling stories from and about California's diverse communities. Award winning children's theatre company in Pasadena seeks a musical theatre/singing instructor for our fall session, which goes from September 13th through December 11th (no classes Thanksgiving week).

Classes are Saturday mornings and Friday afternoons from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.

Must play the piano and be able to accompany singers, as well as teach basic singing technique to children ages 6 and up. Experience staging shows needed as well.

We are seeking professionals with a relevant degree and/or equivalent experience. Must have teaching experience and truly enjoy working with children ages 6 and up.

With 500+ subscribers, it is a great place to share your work be heard! I hope
to post recordings of your environment, sound art, home made instruments and
other audio oddities. In particular, I am looking for the unique. There will be
no compensation for these submissions but hopefully some satisfaction in
sharing.

SOUND WORKS ARE PRESENTED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES

ARCHIVAL RECORDINGS: Old vinyl snippets and other bits of sound history

FIELD RECORDINGS: Recordings taken from the natural environment with minimal
studio processing.

UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS & GEAR: Recordings from unique electronic and acoustic
instruments.

Lineage Dance is proud to present the 4th Annual Pasadena Dance Festival
February 17-19, 2011.

The Festival is made possible in part by the Pasadena Arts & Culture
Commission, City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division.

The highly acclaimed Festival will take place at the beautiful Pasadena
Civic Auditorium and the brand new Lineage Performing Arts Center in Old
Pasadena. Last year's guest artists: Hubbard Street 2 of Chicago. Stay
