Beaches are closed and the days are getting shorter, which can only mean one thing: artist grant season is here!
Each year, we partner with local arts councils in all five boroughs to distribute funding to support the city’s vibrant creative community. These grants are designed to support individual artists, artist collectives, and cultural nonprofits working across disciplines—from visual arts and dance to theater, music, and community-based projects. Last year, we increased this support for the artists living and working in New York City by 15% - an investment in cultural access and vitality of communities in all five boroughs.
